Dear Esteemed Carnatic Music Teachers and Students,

We cordially invite you to participate in the Philadelphia Tyagaraja Aradhana on January 18, 2025.  Tyagaraja Aradhana is observed all over the world on Pushya Bahula Panchami day every year, when Saint Tyagaraja attained Jeeva Samadhi.  This annual musical tribute brings together our community to honour the legacy of the legendary composer Saint Tyagaraja.

The program will include:

• Pancharatna Kritis
• Utsava Sampradaya Kritis
• Presentation of other selected Tyagaraja Kritis

We warmly welcome all teachers and students to participate in group renditions of Vocal and Instrumental performances.

This celebration serves multiple noble purposes:

• Paying homage to the greatest composer in Carnatic music
• Recognising our dedicated teachers and students who keep our musical heritage vibrant
• Fostering the growth of Indian classical music in the United States
• Bringing our community together in celebration of our rich cultural traditions
